2022 Travel Bucket List

The past year has really put a damper on my traveling plans. Despite my ability to travel domestically, it’s not the same as traveling out of the country and this year I decided that I’m not going to let COVID or anything stop me from checking out my travel list.

It’s been at least six years since I’ve traveled abroad so I’m way overdue. This year, I want to travel again and these are my top destinations before I turn thirty!

IRELAND

Ireland has been on my bucket list since I first studied abroad in 2013. My house mates went to Dublin for a weekend when I lived in the U.K. and I wish I’d gone after I saw their photos of this beautiful island. Also known as the Emerald Isle, Ireland is a beautiful green landscape. It’s a place with mountains and fields and cliffs that I can’t wait to see with my own eyes.

JAMAICA

I’m not usually a sunny, beach person, but Jamaica is added to the list because it is a girls trip destination. For our collective 30th birthdays, we decided that this year, our girls trip will be international and we decided on Jamaica. Since COVID and its many variations are ruining carnival in all island locations, Jamaica will be our little island getaway for the summer.

TORONTO

I always wanted to go to Canada and it’s still a destination that I want to go. I promised my mom that she and I would one day go to Toronto or Ontario to explore the city and get a stamp on our passports. As far as I know, Canada is still being strict with their borders, but I’d love to add one of its provinces to my places in the near future.

TURKEY

I never thought of traveling to Turkey, but my sister talked about going to Istanbul and it peaked my interest. I don’t know much about Turkey, the culture, or environment, but I’m curious to learn. Sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone to try something different. Europe has always been a continent that I wanted to visit and I’d like to see as many countries as I can, so I guess I’m adding Turkey to the list.
