Mountain Cabin Trip Must-Haves for Summer

Summertime provides a lot of opportunities for travel and I am very excited about my first vacation this summer. This summer, I am going on vacation with my family to a cabin in the Georgia Mountains.

Sweatshirt: Calvin Klein Logo (grey). Jeans: Old Navy skinny jeans. Accessory: Ray Ban aviator sunglasses.

While preparing for my vacation, I realized that I did not know what to pack for a cabin trip in the summer. I looked everywhere for inspiration and came to the realization that I had to come up with my own inspiration. Apparently, few people travel to the cabins during the summer season.

1. Sweatshirt

The #1 item that I must have is a sweatshirt. It doesn’t matter what season it is, I always pack a sweatshirt because I am always cold. This sweatshirt is a grey Calvin Klein and I bought a larger size for a nice oversized look. It goes great with jeans or lounge pants during the day. I like it because it’s super cozy for the cabins.

2. Sundresses

Since we’re planning on doing a lot of lounging around, I wanted to pack clothes that are easy to dress but still casual. I have a few sundresses that I want to take on this trip because they’ll be nice and airy in case we spend time outside. Our cabin has a lot of balcony space so I want feel the breeze!

3. Bikini set

This choice may sound odd but our cabin has a Jacuzzi and I plan to use it. I like this bikini set from JCPenny because it’s conservative enough but also high-waisted and makes me feel cute. I also pair this suit with a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses. My classic aviators or RB will do.

4. Overnight bag

When you’re traveling with a family, it’s hard to pack everyone luggage in one car, especially when they’re different sizes. To avoid having to stuff my suitcase with everyone else’s in one car, I chose to pack my overnight bag. I like packing my overnight bag because it takes less space in our car and it helps me minimize my wardrobe. In my bag I can fit all of my essentials, including my night clothes, a sweatshirt and shoes.

5. Sandals

When you think about the mountains, you don’t usually think about sandals but because it’s the summertime and we’ll be in warmer climate, I think that sandals will go well with my outfits. Although, majority of the time, I think I’ll be barefoot.

6. Sunnies

As a curator of sunglasses, I love buying sunnies that fit my lifestyle. For this trip, I’m definitely taking my Ray Ban aviators. It’s comfortable and an easy add on accessory.

7. Polaroid Snap Camera

I’m so excited about my new camera. I can’t wait to take photos with my family and watch them print instantly within seconds. I’m looking forward to adding them to my old fashioned album.
