How to Plan a Girls Trip
How many of you have best friends who will ride or die for you no matter what? You work hard, encourage each other, and celebrate your accomplishments. This is definitely the relationship that I have with my four besties and the people who are in your life like this should be celebrated. Every year, since 2017, my best friends and I choose a place to go and celebrate each other’s awesomeness.
I thought it would be nice to include how we plan for our trips with some easy steps and advice.
CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS
If I learned anything about friends it’s that your closest ones are your soulmates. No one wants bad attitudes or negative Nancys, so whomever you choose make sure that that they’re people who will match the vibe. People who you’re close with and will contribute to making good memories. Take into consideration the number of people to go. I’d say that four is a good number and easier to coordinate, but ten makes everything a little more affordable once split between the group. The size of your group will determine how the budget is split. Also consider that when large groups are invited, some people may drop out which leaves the rest picking up the tab that was initially meant for 10 people.
PLAN AHEAD
By the time my girls and I finished one trip, we’re planning for the next the following year. I say that to say that you can plan your trips as early as a year in advance. This gives everyone a chance to know where they’re going and to know how to plan the activities and necessary budget.
CHOOSE A LOCATION
The location is one of the most exciting parts when planning girls trip. The sky is the limit. Choose one or two locations that everyone agrees on and start looking into stays that work with your budget. Now, with stays, I prefer AirBnB. I used AirBnB for years and have always had a positive experience with the hosts that I choose and the areas that we stay in. My friends and I always prefer at least two bathrooms and three bedrooms.
GIVE EVERYONE A SAY
At the end of the day, everyone should enjoy themselves. One way that I think is helping in accomplishing this is to give everyone an opportunity to choose something that they want to do. No matter what it is. It’s important to make sure that everyone’s interest is met and that no one is feeling left out, so ask each other what you want to do and try to find activities to match those interests.
