Local Family Restaurant Dine-in Experience

After a fun-filled day with the family at our local zoo, my family and I realized that we were starving! We heard of this family restaurant that serves a variety of Greek, Itatian and American-style food and had to give it a try.

Pontiac House of Pizza is a perfect, quaint little restaurant with just enough chairs to house (maybe) fifty people but its style and charm adds to its cozy space. It’s conveniently located on Two Notch Rd near the town limits of Pontiac, SC.

Inside the restaurant, I especially love the paintings of the white brick architecture found in Santorini, Greece and the lovely small artifacts lined along the top of the walls. It brought a sense of homeyness to the eatery and reminded me of similar decorations found in actual Greece.

Now let’s talk about the food! The best part about trying a new restaurant with my family is knowing that I will be able to try different food. I’m so thankful that each member has their own taste. The menu features a variety of food from appetizers including garlic bread and cheese sticks to bigger meals like subs, salads, and pasta. And of course, pizza! My family ordered the 16” (large) one topping with pepperoni and it was absolutely magnificent!

Other entrées that we ordered included classic Alfredo, spaghetti with meat sauce, cheese pizza, chicken gyro, and beef souvlaki. All dishes were absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Prices for entrées range between $6.50 and $16.00. We even ordered cheesecake with strawberry syrup for dessert to go!

Ultimately, I absolutely enjoyed this restaurant. I heard my mom talk about it all the time and it was really convenient that the entire family was available for a family outing and a delicious meal. I highly recommend this restaurant and any of the food on the menu. If you’ve never tried Pontiac House of Pizza, you are missing out on a hidden gem and a family-oriented treat!
